Question
What is the Islamic ruling on benefiting from missionary schools and hospitals?
Answer
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʿammā baʿd!
If attending such missionary schools, hospitals, or institutions poses a risk of religious harm, such as spreading their creed or influencing Muslims towards their faith, then it is necessary to avoid them.
The permissibility depends on safeguarding one’s faith and religion. If there is a genuine risk of dīnī harm, then Muslims must abstain from benefiting from these institutions.
