When the first mosque for which the funds were collected has been completed and no longer requires additional funds, the remaining funds should be spent on the construction of other mosques. Moreover, supplementary structures associated with the mosque, such as a library, ablution facilities, etc., should also be established, as explicitly stated by the scholars in the Book of Waqf.
This is because another mosque is of the same category as the one for which the funds were originally gathered, and it is also a well-known fact that generous donors intend to spend their surplus wealth in building one of Allah's houses. If there is no mosque in need, then this wealth can be spent on general welfare projects benefiting Muslims, such as constructing schools, roads, or aiding the poor. وَاللّٰہُ أَعْلَمُ
