What does the Qur’an and Hadith say about amulets? Are Qur’anic amulets also impermissible?
Alhamdulillah, wassalatu wassalamu ‘ala Rasulillah, amma ba’d:
Although some amulets consist of words from the Qur’an and Hadith, there is no evidence that Rasulullah ﷺ ever wrote such an amulet or gave it to anyone.
On this basis, it can be said that even if an amulet contains Qur’anic or Prophetic words, since this practice is not established from the Prophet ﷺ, it is therefore not permissible to act upon it.
