This excerpt is taken from the book 500 Questions and Answers for Women, which is based on the fatwas of the scholars of Haramain. The translation was done by Hafiz Abdullah Saleem.
"The angels do not enter a house where there is a picture."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 3053; Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 2106)
Additionally, when the Prophet ﷺ saw a curtain with images at the home of Aisha (رضي الله عنها), he refused to enter and his face showed signs of displeasure.
② Not every fashion is permissible in Islam. Some fashion styles promote indecency, such as tight clothing that reveals the body shape.
③ Many of these fashion trends originate from non-Muslim cultures, and imitating non-Muslims is prohibited in Islam. The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever imitates a people is one of them."
(Sahih Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith No. 4031)
Moreover, constantly following new fashion trends causes a shift in customs and habits, which should ideally be in line with Islamic values. Instead, these trends push society towards adopting foreign cultural norms that contradict Islamic teachings.

Undoubtedly, purchasing magazines that are full of images is prohibited (ḥarām) because keeping images is itself prohibited. The Prophet ﷺ said:"The angels do not enter a house where there is a picture."

Advice to Muslim Women
I strongly advise my Muslim brothers in general, and Muslim women in particular, to avoid these fashion trends and styles. Many of them resemble non-Muslim customs, and some even lead to immodesty.Moreover, constantly following new fashion trends causes a shift in customs and habits, which should ideally be in line with Islamic values. Instead, these trends push society towards adopting foreign cultural norms that contradict Islamic teachings.
