The Prophet ﷺ said to ʿAlī رضي الله عنه:
"لا تدع صورة إلا طمستها"
“Do not leave any image without defacing it.”

✦ Ruling on Wearing a Watch Containing a Picture During Salah
Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله explains:- If the image is hidden inside the watch and not visible, there is no harm in praying with it.
- However, if the image is on the outer surface or becomes visible upon opening the watch, then prayer is not valid while wearing it.
