❖ Question

Respected Hafiz Sahib,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Please publish the answer to the following question in Tanzeem Ahl-e-Hadith for public benefit.
At Raja Chowk in Rail Bazaar, Lyallpur, there is a mosque named Jamia Abrar. Upon entering the mosque, the courtyard presents the following disturbing scenario for a sincere Muslim seeking truth and prayer:

On the western wall of the courtyard, this couplet is written:

To the right wall, one finds this:

On the left wall, one reads:

On attempting to leave, one sees at the entrance:

Moreover, a foundation stone engraved with the name of Maulvi Sardar Muhammad Sahib suggests that all elements of the mosque are under the guarantee of a highly regarded scholar. Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.

Hence, the question is:
If such is the state of the destination, where should a lost traveler go?

❖ Answer

Avoid offering Salah in such a mosque and make supplication for those involved — may Allah Almighty have mercy on them.

The Qur’an clearly states:
“And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so do not invoke anyone along with Allah.”

Those who violate this Divine directive are undoubtedly worthy of pity.

It is also mentioned in the Qur’an:

“And most of them do not believe in Allah without associating others with Him.”
