Ruling on Performing Obligatory Prayers While Riding

What is the ruling on performing obligatory prayers while riding (on an animal or vehicle)?
❀ Answer:
Without a valid Sharʿi excuse, it is not permissible to perform obligatory prayers while riding.
❀ Hafiz Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (رح, d. 463H) said:
إن الإجماع منعقد أنه لا يجوز لأحد أن يصلي على الدواب شيئا من فرائض الصلوات
"There is consensus that it is not permissible for anyone to perform any of the obligatory prayers on a riding animal."
