Ruling on Missed Prayers and Praying Before Congregation

❖ Ruling on Performing Missed Prayers and Praying Before the Appointed Time

❀ Question:

Respected Shaykh, due to the nature of my work, I often end up missing prayers. Is it permissible to offer a prayer twenty minutes before the congregational prayer?

❀ Answer by Fadheelat al-‘Aalim Akramullah Wahidi ḥafiẓahullāh:

It is not correct to make a habit of missing prayers (Qadha). This should never become a routine. Once the time for a prayer has begun, it is permissible to offer that prayer.

However, it is best to make an effort to perform the prayer in congregation wherever you are headed.

Key Points:
① Making Qadha (missed) prayers a regular practice is impermissible.
② One may perform the prayer once its prescribed time begins.
③ Striving to perform Salah in congregation is highly encouraged and preferred.
