Ruling on Marriage With Grandfather (Paternal or Maternal) and the Permissibility of Buffalo Meat

➋ Similarly, what is the evidence for the permissibility of consuming buffalo meat?
The maternal and paternal grandfathers (Nana and Dada) fall under the category of ascendants (usool), just like the father. The ruling concerning them is the same as that of the father. Just as a father cannot marry his daughter, similarly, a grandfather cannot marry his granddaughter, great-granddaughter, or any female descendant.
(Surah An-Nisa: 23)
Translation (for understanding):
“Your mothers and your daughters and your sisters are forbidden to you (in marriage)…”
In this blessed verse, the term “your daughters” is used, and this includes daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. Therefore, marriage with any of them is strictly forbidden.

This book provides comprehensive evidence supporting the halal status of the buffalo and its consumption.
