Source: Fatāwā Amunpuri by Shaykh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amunpuri
❖ Question:
An Imām led the Jumu‘ah prayer without having wudu. What should he do upon realizing it?
❖ Answer:
If he led the prayer without wudu, the congregants’ prayer is valid. However, it is obligatory upon the Imām to repeat his prayer. In this case, he will pray four rak‘ahs of Ẓuhr and not two rak‘ahs of Jumu‘ah.
