Ruling on a Husband and Wife Seeing Each Other After Death

Question:
What is the ruling on a husband looking at his wife after her death, and a wife looking at her husband after his death?
Answer:
Both may look at one another and even touch one another.
❀ Sayyidah ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrates:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away in my house and during my turn. His blessed head was between my neck and chest, and Allah united my saliva with his saliva in those final moments.
