The Ruling on Hanging Curtains with Pictures in Homes

Hanging curtains or cloths with pictures inside homes is not permissible.
Hadith of ʿĀʾishah (رضي الله عنها)
She narrated:
قدم رسول الله من سفر وقد سترت بقرام لى على سهوة لي فيها تماثيل فلما رآه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هتكه وقال: أشد الناس عذابا يوم القيامة الذين يضاهون بخلق الله
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from a journey (the expedition of Tabuk). I had hung a curtain over a canopy in my house, and it had images upon it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw it, he tore it down and said: The people who will be in the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection are those who try to imitate the creation of Allah.”
