The Shar‘i Ruling on Giving Adhan Before the Eid Sermon

Is it permissible in Shari‘ah to give the Adhan before the Eid sermon?
On the occasion of Eid, it is impermissible and considered an innovation (Bid‘ah) to give the Adhan or Iqamah before the sermon or the prayer.
There is no evidence for such a practice in the Qur'an or authentic Sunnah.
In fact, the actions of the Prophet ﷺ provide clear guidance against this practice.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه):
"عَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسِ اَنَّ النَّبِیَّ ﷺ صَلَّی الْعِیْدَ بِلَا أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ"
(Reported in Sunan Abu Dawud; the original narration is also found in Sahih Bukhari)
Translation: Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ performed the Eid prayer without Adhan and without Iqamah.
✔ Giving Adhan or Iqamah before the Eid prayer or sermon is an innovation and contrary to Shari‘ah.
✔ This practice is not established from the Prophet ﷺ.
✔ Muslims should adhere to the Sunnah in performing the Eid prayer and sermon and refrain from unestablished practices.
