❖ Question:
In a cow meant for qurbānī there are seven shares. If six people are available, but a seventh cannot be found, can two people jointly take the seventh share, dividing it half each?
❖ Answer:
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
Yes, this is absolutely permissible.
If an animal allows for seven shares and only six people are available, then the remaining seventh share may be divided between two individuals. Both of them will jointly own one share, and their participation in the sacrifice will be valid.
