Ruling on Denying Any Prophet

Source: Fatāwā Amonpuri by Shaykh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amonpuri

Question:
What is the ruling on one who denies any prophet?

Answer:
Whoever denies the prophethood of a prophet whose prophethood is known with certainty, commits kufr (disbelief) and irtidād (apostasy).

❀ Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله (728H) said:
اتفق المسلمون على أن من كذب نبيا معلوم النبوة فهو كافر مرتد.
“The Muslims are unanimously agreed that whoever rejects the prophethood of a prophet whose prophethood is known with certainty, he is a disbeliever and an apostate.”
(al-Jawāb al-Ṣaḥīḥ 2/344)
