Question:
Are Shia considered disbelievers (Kafir)?
Answer:
Issuing a general ruling of disbelief (takfir) on all Shia is not appropriate, as there are multiple sects within Shiaism, each holding different beliefs and doctrines. Therefore, rulings should be applied to specific beliefs rather than individuals. Among these beliefs, there are indeed some that can take a person outside the fold of Islam. Details regarding such beliefs can be referred to in scholarly texts and books.
