What is the ruling on someone who considers any command of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to be a mistake?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʾAmma baʿd!
◈ Knowingly and deliberately declaring any Shar‘i command of the Prophet ﷺ to be erroneous or mistaken constitutes clear disbelief (kufr ṣarīḥ).
◈ This is tantamount to denial of divine revelation, since every religious command of the Prophet ﷺ is based on wahi (revelation) from Allah ﷻ.
❀ ʿAllāmah Ibn al-ʿArabī (رحمه الله) (d. 543 AH) states:
"The consensus of the Muslims is upon the takfīr (declaring disbelief) of anyone who considers the Prophet ﷺ to be mistaken or insults him."

◈ To label any divinely inspired command of the Prophet ﷺ as incorrect is a grave act of kufr.
◈ Such a belief removes one from the fold of Islam, and is unanimously condemned by the scholars of the Ummah.
