Question:
Can Ṣalāt al-Tasbīḥ be performed in congregation? And can it be offered after eight rakʿāt of Tarāwīḥ during the odd nights or other nights of Ramadan?
Answer:
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd:
✿ Performing Ṣalāt al-Tasbīḥ in congregation, or arranging it collectively as practiced in some regions, is not established from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
✿ Therefore, the correct and better practice is to offer it individually.
Conclusion:
- Ṣalāt al-Tasbīḥ should not be prayed in congregation.
- It is preferable and correct to perform it alone, not collectively, whether in Ramadan or outside it.
