Question:
What is the ruling on combining two prayers without a valid excuse?


Answer:
It is not permissible to combine two prayers without a Sharʿi excuse.


❀ Ḥāfiẓ al-Baghawī رحمه الله (d. 516H) said:
ذهب أكثر العلماء إلى أن الجمع بغير عذر لا يجوز.
“Most scholars hold that combining prayers without an excuse is not permissible.”
