Is it permissible to build a mosque inside one’s house?
It is permissible and correct to designate a specific place inside the house as a mosque in the sense of a place of prostration (masjid) for the performance of Nafl (voluntary) and Sunnah prayers.
However, there is no Shar‘i evidence to establish the performance of obligatory (Fard) prayers in such a home-based mosque setting.
