A person has lost something and wants to announce it using the mosque’s loudspeaker. Is such an announcement permissible according to Islamic law?❖ Answer
If the item was lost or found inside the mosque, then making an announcement is permissible.However, if the item was lost outside the mosque, then the matter should not be brought into the mosque. For such cases, a public announcement elsewhere would be more appropriate.
