Ruling on Accepting Gifts from Non-Muslim Relatives in Islam

Ruling on Accepting a Gift from a Non-Muslim Brother
Fatwa by the Saudi Permanent Committee for Islamic Rulings

◈ A Muslim Accepting a Gift from a Disbelieving Brother

It is permissible for a Muslim to accept a gift from his non-Muslim (disbelieving or polytheist) brother.

✔ Doing so can serve the purpose of winning hearts (تأليف القلوب).
✔ It may become a means of guiding the disbelieving relative towards Islam.

This act falls under the broader teachings of kindness and good relations, particularly when it might lead to positive outcomes in faith.
