Since mosquitoes and flies are similar creatures, and if a fly does not render food impure, then a mosquito does not either. A fly does not have flowing blood, and the Qur'an only prohibits blood that flows in veins. Similarly, ants, fireflies, and other small insects do not contain such blood, and therefore, their presence does not cause impurity.
❖ Question
If a mosquito falls into milk, is it permissible to drink the milk?❖ Answer
All praise is due to Allah! If a mosquito falls into milk, the milk does not become impure, and it is permissible to consume it. There is no explicit scriptural text regarding mosquitoes, wasps, ants, or fireflies in this matter. However, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed that if a fly falls into food or drink, it should be submerged completely and then removed, and the item may still be consumed.Since mosquitoes and flies are similar creatures, and if a fly does not render food impure, then a mosquito does not either.
