This article is derived from the book "500 Questions and Answers for Women," based on the fatwas of the scholars of the Haramain, translated by Hafiz Abdullah Saleem.
This is supported by the narration that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) kissed his daughter Aisha (RA) on her cheek. Additionally, the reason for this restriction is that kissing on the lips can arouse sexual desire, and therefore, it is better and more cautious to avoid it.
Similarly, it is permissible for a daughter to kiss her father on his forehead or nose without any inappropriate intent.
However, if the kiss is accompanied by sexual desire, then it is strictly prohibited for both the father and the daughter. This prohibition is meant to prevent temptation (fitnah) and block the means leading to immorality.
(Fatwa by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz, رحمه الله)
