What is the ruling for people traveling from Karachi for ʿUmrah who did not wear iḥrām at the mīqāt, and later donned iḥrām at Masjid ʿĀ’ishah in Makkah to perform ʿUmrah?

Ruling Depends on Niyyah (Intention) and Timing of Iḥrām
① If they did not intend ʿUmrah at the mīqāt and entered Makkah:
✔ A "dam" (sacrificial penalty) becomes obligatory.
➤ What is Dam?
Slaughtering one goat/sheep and distributing the meat among the poor of Makkah.
② If they intended ʿUmrah at the mīqāt but failed to wear iḥrām garments:
✔ Fidya (compensation) becomes mandatory.
➤ Three options for Fidya:
- Fasting for three days, or
- Feeding six poor persons, or
- Slaughtering one goat/sheep and distributing its meat among the poor in Makkah.
Summary:
✔ If no niyyah (intention) was made at the mīqāt → Dam is obligatory.✔ If niyyah was made but iḥrām not worn → Fidya is obligatory.
