Rights of a Christian Wife Compared to a Muslim Wife

What are the rights of a Christian wife compared to those of a Muslim wife?

A Christian wife has the same fundamental rights as a Muslim wife in the following aspects:

1. Provision of Clothing, Maintenance, and Shelter:
   Both Muslim and Christian wives are entitled to adequate clothing, financial support, and a proper place of residence provided by the husband.
2. Good Treatment and Respect:
   The husband is obligated to treat both wives with kindness, respect, and good manners, ensuring a harmonious marital relationship.
3. Protection from Injustice:
   Both are entitled to protection from any form of oppression, harm, or unfair treatment by the husband.
4. Fairness in Case of Polygyny:
   If the husband has multiple wives, he is required to exercise fairness and equity among them, regardless of their religion.

These rights are established under Islamic law, ensuring justice and harmony in the marital relationship.
