Narration:
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلَم أَقَرَّ الْقَسَامَةَ عَلَى مَا كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
[Reported by Muslim: 1670]
Translation of the Narration:
It is narrated from an Ansari companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ upheld the system of Qasāmah as it existed in the pre-Islamic era (Jāhiliyyah).

Among these is Qasāmah, a judicial procedure which originated in the pre-Islamic era and was upheld in Islamic law.
❷ Before taking oaths, conducting thorough investigations, collecting supporting evidence, and cross-verifying claims prove crucial in delivering a fair verdict.
❸ The practice of resolving disputes through fifty oaths and deep inquiry is established in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
❹ Some Hadiths related to the Day of Judgment indicate that even the oaths of non-Muslims are granted legal recognition within Islamic law.
