Topic: Renting Agricultural Land
It is permissible to rent agricultural land for a fixed period and a predetermined wage in currency. It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar (رضي الله عنهما) that the Jews requested the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to allow them to stay in Khaybar under the condition that they would work on its land and give half of the produce—whether grains or fruits—to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ agreed and said, “We will let you stay as long as we wish.”
