The treatment for the evil eye is that the one who cast the eye should perform ghusl (ritual washing), and the water collected in a vessel should then be poured over the afflicted person, starting from his head and back.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
«وإذا استغسلتم فاغسلوا»
“When you are asked to perform ghusl (for curing the evil eye), then do perform ghusl.”

Imām al-Nawawī’s position appears to be the stronger opinion.

◈ An Important Juristic Issue
- Imām al-Qurṭubī (رحمه الله): If someone kills another due to the effect of the evil eye, then qiṣāṣ (retribution) or blood money (diyah) will be obligatory.
[Fatḥ al-Bārī: 11/364] - Imām al-Nawawī (رحمه الله): There is no diyah or expiation for it.
[Nayl al-Awṭār: 5/302, Fatḥ al-Bārī: 11/364]
Imām al-Nawawī’s position appears to be the stronger opinion.
