“Is there any idol from the idols of the pre-Islamic era there?”
The Companions replied: No.
He then asked:
“Is there any of their fairs or festivals held there?”
They replied: No.
Then the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Fulfill your vow, for a vow is not fulfilled in disobedience to Allah, nor is a vow fulfilled concerning something that is not under the control of the son of Adam.”

It is also mentioned in:
“I advise you to fear Allah, for it is the foundation of everything. Hold fast to jihād in the path of Allah, for it is the monasticism of Islam. Hold fast to the remembrance of Allah and the recitation of the Qur’an, for it is your comfort in the heavens and your mention upon the earth.”
Imām al-Albānī رحمه الله declared this ḥadīth ḥasan.
Fearing Allah in every matter, adhering to remembrance (dhikr), recitation of the Qur’an, and jihād in the path of Allah are among the greatest means of success for a person. Through jihād, one attains relief from grief and distress, and concern for the Hereafter becomes firmly established.
May Allah grant us the ability to act upon this. Āmīn.
