❀ Reconciling the Incident of Magic on the Prophet ﷺ with the Verse of Divine Protection ❀

Question:
How can we reconcile the Qur'anic verse “وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ” with the ḥadīth regarding the Prophet ﷺ being affected by magic?
Answer:
The verse:
وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ
“And Allah will protect you from the people.”
[Al-Māʾidah: 67]
There is no contradiction between this verse and the ḥadīth concerning magic.
This is because the verse was revealed after the Prophet ﷺ had been cured from the effect of the magic.
