✔ Shaykh Ibn Bāz (رحمه الله) stated:
There is no harm in reciting the Qur’an during Qiyām al-Ramadan (Tarawih) by looking into the Mushaf.
➤ This practice is permissible and supported by narration from Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, in which:
The freed slave of ʿĀʾishah (رضي الله عنها), Dhakwān, used to lead her in prayer during Ramadan by reading from the Mushaf.
[al-Fatāwā al-Islāmiyyah: Vol. 1, p. 337]
✔ It is permissible for an Imām to lead Qiyam/Tarawih while reading from the Qur’an.
✔ This was practiced by the righteous predecessors, as found in authentic narrations.
✔ It is especially helpful for those who have not memorized the entire Qur’an, ensuring longer and more complete recitation during Ramadan nights.
