❖ Purification of the Soul and Servitude: The True Goal of Islamic Movements ❖
Allah ﷻ created the human being as a servant (ʿAbd).
Deliverance from sin is only possible when:
✔ One willingly embraces servitude to Allah ﷻ.
✔ One turns to Him in repentance (توبہ).
Allah forgives those who repent sincerely and fills their hearts with peace.
According to Hadith, when a person commits sin, a dark spot appears on their heart.
If repentance follows, it is removed; otherwise, the heart becomes completely darkened.
The first step in character development is to correct intention (نیّت).
After correcting intention:
① One must reform the present state—both external conduct and inner feelings.
② Following the Sunnah ﷺ is essential for correcting one’s inner state and gaining peace.
③ Upon accepting one's true rank as a servant, the base desires (lust and anger) begin to fade.
When a person is content with servitude and their true position, they begin to see the world with clarity.
🕯 Hadith: “The believer sees with the light of Allah.”
This divine light enables the heart to perceive truth clearly and objectively.
Tasawwuf is the process of cleansing the heart from lust and anger.
The core mission of Islamic movements is to:
✔ Correct the intention of the individual.
✔ Reform their spiritual state.
✔ Instill contentment in servitude, making them worthy of Paradise.
Divine love (عشق الٰہی) is the driving force behind sincere Islamic activism.
Non-Islamic ideologies—liberalism, nationalism, socialism—enslave humans to their own desires.
The Islamic state is a means to purification of the heart, not an end in itself.
Without the reform of intention, spiritual state, and recognition of one’s rank, a person cannot comprehend reality.
Divine love and purification of the soul are essential to reaching one’s true spiritual station.
This is the true mission of Islamic movements:
To lead people toward contentment in servitude, guiding them along the path to Paradise.
✦ Human Nature and Servitude (عُبُودِیَّت)
Allah ﷻ created the human being as a servant (ʿAbd).
- When man tries to free himself from servitude, he rebels against his own nature.
- As a result, he is engulfed by guilt and inner restlessness.
✦ Path to Salvation from Sin
Deliverance from sin is only possible when:
✔ One willingly embraces servitude to Allah ﷻ.
✔ One turns to Him in repentance (توبہ).
Allah forgives those who repent sincerely and fills their hearts with peace.
✦ Correcting Intention and Inner State
The first step in character development is to correct intention (نیّت).
- Every action and decision should be driven by the desire to please Allah ﷻ.
- Mere correct intention is not enough; both inward and outward actions must align with the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
✦ Niyyah, Present State, and Spiritual Rank
After correcting intention:
① One must reform the present state—both external conduct and inner feelings.
② Following the Sunnah ﷺ is essential for correcting one’s inner state and gaining peace.
③ Upon accepting one's true rank as a servant, the base desires (lust and anger) begin to fade.
✦ Observation, Maʿrifah, and Objectivity
When a person is content with servitude and their true position, they begin to see the world with clarity.
🕯 Hadith: “The believer sees with the light of Allah.”
This divine light enables the heart to perceive truth clearly and objectively.
- Nearness to Allah brings illumination of the heart, refining a person's insight and understanding.
✦ Tasawwuf and Purification of the Heart
Tasawwuf is the process of cleansing the heart from lust and anger.
- Through love of Allah (عشق الٰہی), renowned Sufi orders cultivate spiritual growth and complete one’s personality.
- The true aim of Tasawwuf is to fill the purified heart with Divine love.
✦ Islamic Movements and Heart Purification
The core mission of Islamic movements is to:
✔ Correct the intention of the individual.
✔ Reform their spiritual state.
✔ Instill contentment in servitude, making them worthy of Paradise.
- Jihad, meditation (muraqabah), and daʿwah are interconnected stages of this journey.
- If these actions are disconnected from spiritual reform, movements become ineffective.
✦ Love and Selflessness
Divine love (عشق الٰہی) is the driving force behind sincere Islamic activism.
- It inspires selfless effort for the betterment and reform of others.
- Without love, daʿwah fails; self-interest and envy lead to its destruction.
✦ The Deception of Non-Islamic Movements
- They promote lust and anger, pushing people toward selfishness.
- In the name of “rights” and “freedom,” these systems sever man from his true essence, entrapping him in nafs-worship.
✦ Islamic State and Societal Reform
The Islamic state is a means to purification of the heart, not an end in itself.
- When hearts are reformed, a genuine Islamic society and state can be established.
- The primary role of the state is to create an environment conducive to personal and spiritual reform.
✦ Conclusion
Without the reform of intention, spiritual state, and recognition of one’s rank, a person cannot comprehend reality.
To lead people toward contentment in servitude, guiding them along the path to Paradise.
