❀ The Prophet’s ﷺ Treatment from Magic and the Method of Sunnah-Based Ruqyah ❀

Question:
How was the Prophet ﷺ treated from the magic that had afflicted him?
Answer:
Jibrīl عليه السلام came to the Prophet ﷺ and performed ruqyah (spiritual healing) using the following words:
بِاسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ، اللهُ يَشْفِيكَ، بِاسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ
(Recited three times)
Meaning:
"In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah on you from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul and envious eye. May Allah cure you. In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah on you."
Jibrīl عليه السلام recited this three times and performed ruqyah on the Prophet ﷺ.
The Prophet ﷺ then sent ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib and Ṭalḥah رضي الله عنهما, who brought forth the magical object from the well where it had been buried. They untied each knot one by one, nullifying its effect.
✿ Key Lessons:
① If the location of the magic is discovered and the object is removed, its effect is nullified.
However, such instances are rare, as the location is often unknown.
② The preferred method is to perform ruqyah with the Sunnah-based supplications and to protect oneself with what is authentically reported from the Prophet ﷺ.
