The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites this supplication seven times every morning and evening, Allah removes all his worldly and religious worries:”
Arabic:
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Translation:
“Allah is sufficient for me. There is no deity except Him. Upon Him I rely, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“When a person is afflicted with grief or anxiety, let him recite:”
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِي قَضَاؤُكَ، أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ، سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قَلْبِي، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي، وَجَلَاءَ حُزْنِي، وَذَهَابَ هَمِّي
Translation:
“O Allah, I am indeed Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your Hand. Your command concerning me is ever executed, and Your judgment upon me is just.
I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept exclusively with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen,
that You make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.”
ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever recites this supplication, Allah removes his sorrow and replaces his hardship with ease.”
Narrated by Anas رضي الله عنه:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the following supplication to be saved from debt, grief, and other hardships:
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Translation:
“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, incapacity and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debt, and the overpowering of men.”
ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said:
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced any hardship, he would recite:
Arabic:
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Translation:
“O Ever-Living, O Sustainer! By Your mercy, I seek help.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“An angel came to me from my Lord and said:
‘There is no person who sends one ṣalāh (blessing) upon you except that Allah sends ten mercies upon him.’
A man stood and said:
‘O Messenger of Allah! Should I dedicate half of my supplication to sending blessings upon you?’
He replied: ‘If you wish.’
The man said:
‘Shall I dedicate two thirds of my supplication to sending blessings upon you?’
He replied: ‘If you wish.’
The man then said:
‘Shall I devote all of my supplication exclusively to sending blessings upon you?’
He ﷺ replied:
‘Then Allah will suffice you concerning your worries of this world and the next.’
◈ Morning & Evening Supplication for Removal of All Worries
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites this supplication seven times every morning and evening, Allah removes all his worldly and religious worries:”

◈ Comprehensive Supplication for Distress, Anxiety, and Hardship
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

◈ Supplication of the Prophet ﷺ When Afflicted by Hardship
