Proof of the Punishment of the Grave from Qur’an and Hadith

What do you say regarding the punishment of the grave?
❖ Answer:
The punishment of the grave is a reality.
✿ Allah Almighty says:
يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ
(Surah Ibrahim: 27)
Allah keeps the believers firm with the firm word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter.
✿ Hafiz Abu Zur‘ah ‘Iraqi (رحمه الله, 826H) said:
نزلت فى عذاب القبر، واستعاذ منه النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم، وتواترت به الأحاديث
This verse was revealed concerning the punishment of the grave. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sought refuge from it, and numerous authentic narrations on this matter have been transmitted consecutively.
