1. Clear Prohibition in Hadith


Narrated by Jabir (RA):


إن الله حــرم بـيـع الــخـمـر و الميتة والخنزير والأصنام
"Indeed, Allah has prohibited the sale of alcohol, carrion, swine, and idols."

2. Scholarly Explanations


  • Ibn Hajar رحمه الله: The trade of all parts of swine is prohibited by consensus.
    [Fath al-Bari: 5/178]
  • Al-Shawkani رحمه الله: It is not permissible to benefit from anything belonging to a dead animal, except what is excluded by evidence, such as a tanned hide, etc.
