Prohibition of Pointing a Weapon at a Muslim

Hadith ①​


Narrated by Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"None of you should point a weapon at his brother, for he does not know—perhaps Satan may seize it from his hand, and he may fall into a pit of the Fire."
[Agreed upon: Narrated by al-Bukhari 7072 and Muslim 2617]


Hadith ②​


Narrated by Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
Abu al-Qasim (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever points a piece of iron at his brother, the angels continue to curse him until he stops, even if the person pointed at is his brother from his father and mother."
[Authentic – Narrated by Muslim 2616]

Hadith ③​


Narrated by Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us, and whoever deceives us is not one of us."
[Authentic – Narrated by Muslim 101]

Hadith ④​


Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar (رضي الله عنهما):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us."
[Agreed upon – Narrated by al-Bukhari 7070 and Muslim 98]

Hadith ⑤​


Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (رضي الله عنه):
He narrated from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):
"Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us."

Hadith ⑥​


Narrated by Iyas ibn Salamah from his father (رضي الله عنهما):
They narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ):
"Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us."
[Agreed upon – Narrated by al-Bukhari 7071 and Muslim 100]


Hadith ⑦​


Narrated by Abu Musa (رضي الله عنه):
From the Prophet (ﷺ):
"When one of you passes through our mosque or our market and has arrows with him, he should hold them by their heads in his hand so that no Muslim is harmed by them." Or he (ﷺ) said: "He should grasp them by their heads."
[Authentic – Narrated by Muslim 99]
