Chapter: Warning Against Hatred for Daughters
The Prohibition of Hating Daughters
Allah (ﷻ) says:
“When one of them is given the glad tidings of a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief. He hides himself from the people because of the bad news he has received. Shall he keep it in disgrace or bury it in the dust? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.”
Narrated by Uqbah bin Aamir (رضي الله عنه): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Do not hate daughters, for they are comforting companions and of great value.”
