Prohibition of Eating Another’s Food Without Their Consent

Eating Someone’s Food Without Permission is Prohibited

Allah Almighty says:
وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ
[البقرة: 188]
"Do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly."



ʿAmr ibn Yathribī (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in the sermon at Minā:
لا يحل لامرئ من مال أخيه إلا ما طابت به نفسه
"It is not lawful for anyone to take from the wealth of his brother except what he gives willingly from his heart."
