This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which was translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
خصلتان لا يجتمعان فى مؤمن : البخل وسوء الخلق
"Two qualities cannot coexist in a believer: stinginess and bad manners."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Birr wal-Silah 1962.
② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to supplicate:
اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الشقاق والنفاق وسوء الأخلاق
"O Allah! I seek refuge in You from discord, hypocrisy, and bad manners."
Reference: Abu Dawood, Kitab al-Salat 1546, An-Nasa'i, Al-Isti'adhah 232/8.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
المؤمن القوي خير وأحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف ، وفي كل خير ، احرص على ما ينفعك واستعن بالله ولا تعجز ، وإن أصابك شيء فلا تقل : لو أني فعلت كان كذا وكذا ، ولكن قل : قدر الله وما شاء فعل ، فإن لو تفتح عمل الشيطان
"A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone. Strive for that which benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not show helplessness. If something harms you, do not say: If I had done such and such, it would have been such and such, but say: Allah has decreed what He willed, for 'if' opens the door for the work of Satan."

① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم one day said to his noble companions رضي الله عنهم:
من يأخذ هذه الكلمات فيعمل بهن ، أو يعلم من يعمل بهن ؟
"Who will learn these words and act upon them, or teach these words to someone who will act upon them?"
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه says, I said: O Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم! I will. Then the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم took my hand and counted five things, then said:
اتق المحارم تكن أعبد الناس ، وارض بما قسم الله لك تكن أغنى الناس ، وأحسن إلى جارك تكن مؤمنا ، وأحب للناس ما تحب لنفسك تكن مسلما ، ولا تكثر الضحك ، فإن كثرة الضحك تميت القلب
"Keep away from the forbidden, you will become the most worshipful among people. Be content with what Allah has apportioned for you, you will become the most self-sufficient and wealthy among people. Treat your neighbor well, you will become a believer. And love for others what you love for yourself, you will become a Muslim. And do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter deadens the heart."

① It is narrated from Syeda Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I say that my husband has given me something, although he has not given me that. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
المتشبع بما لم يعط كلابس ثوبي زور
"Whoever expresses something that has not been given to him is like a person who wears two garments of lies."

A mutashabbi' is one who shows himself as fully satisfied and content when he is not, meaning it is also used metaphorically for a person who presents himself as possessing virtues, qualifications, piety, and righteousness to a degree he is not worthy of. His example is like a person who meets people in a more ascetic and pious manner than he actually is, although he is not like that.
