Prohibited Acts During Iʿtikāf

❖ Which Acts Should Be Avoided During Iʿtikāf?​


Question:
Please inform us about the acts from which one must abstain during Iʿtikāf.


Answer:
The following actions are prohibited during Iʿtikāf and must be avoided:

➊ Engaging in Marital Relations​


Sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited during Iʿtikāf.

➋ Leaving to Visit the Sick​


One may not exit the mosque to visit a sick person during Iʿtikāf.

➌ Attending Funerals​


It is not allowed to attend funeral processions while observing Iʿtikāf.

➍ Exiting Without Necessity​


Leaving the mosque without a valid or essential need is prohibited.
