❖ Preferred Ruling on the Qadāʾ of Witr and Sunnah of Fajr

❖ Question:
Is it necessary to make up the Sunnah of Fajr and Witr if they are missed?

❖ Answer:
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh. Ammā baʿd:
✔ The preferred and correct opinion (rājiḥ qawl) is that it is permissible and recommended to make up the Sunnah of Fajr and the Witr prayer if they were missed due to any reason.
✦ In other words, if someone was unable to perform the two Sunnah rakʿahs of Fajr or the Witr prayer within its prescribed time, then making them up later is mustaḥabb (recommended) and better.
وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَابِ
This is what I hold; and Allāh knows best what is correct.
