Ruling on Prayer and Fasting When a Pregnant Woman Sees Blood Before Delivery
Source: Fatāwā Amunpuri by Shaykh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amunpuri
❖ Question:
If a pregnant woman sees blood one or two days before delivery, what is the ruling regarding her prayer and fasting during that time?
❖ Answer:
Such blood is considered irregular bleeding (dam fāsid). The woman remains in a state of purity. Therefore, she must continue offering prayer and fasting as usual.

Blood that appears shortly before childbirth does not invalidate purity, nor does it exempt a woman from prayer or fasting.
