(Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Khuzaymah, Kitāb al-Ṣalāh, Bāb: Wadhʿ al-Yamīn ʿala al-Shimāl fī al-Ṣalāh, Vol. 1, p. 243 – Hadith: 479)

Sayyidunā Sahl bin Saʿd رضي الله عنه said:

"The people were ordered to place their right hand on their left forearm during the prayer."

Sayyidunā Hilaal رضي الله عنه said:

"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turning to the right and to the left during prayer, and I also saw him placing his hands on his chest."
