❖ The Reality About Pharaoh and His Tower
❀ Question
A scholar (Name: Muhammad Siddiq Salafi, Abbottabad) asked:
“Is it true that Pharaoh, the great disbelieving ruler, built a tall palace or tower whose peak touched the sky, and that he climbed upon this tower and shot arrows towards the heavens to fight against Allah? Is this mentioned in Surah al-Qasas:138 and Surah al-Mu’min:36?”
❖ Answer
الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، أما بعد!
✿ ① It is established that Pharaoh, the accursed, commanded the construction of a tall building in order to look towards Allah.
✿ ② However, it is absolutely not established that this building or tower ever reached the sky.
✿ ③ The claim made by some unlearned preachers that Pharaoh’s building or staircase touched the sky is false, fabricated, and entirely against reality.
❖ Position of the Scholars
✿ The true scholars have warned against storytellers who spread such fabricated and false tales.
✿ Similarly, the Hadith also contain strong condemnation for storytellers and fabricators of lies.
