The Accusation of Sorcery Against Musa (AS) by Pharaoh’s People: A Qur’anic Clarification
Authored by: Dr. Raza Abdullah Pasha (Hafizahullah)
❖ Question:
Did Pharaoh’s people accuse Sayyiduna Musa (AS) of being a sorcerer?
❖ Answer:
Yes.
Allah ﷻ says:
"And they said: Whatever sign you may bring to bewitch us therewith, we shall not believe in you."
This verse highlights the rebellion and arrogance of Pharaoh’s people, their hostility to the truth, and their persistence upon falsehood.
They openly declared: “No matter what sign you bring, or whatever proof and evidence you present, we will reject it. We will not accept from you, nor will we believe in your message.”
