Ruling on Enjoying the Sounds of Birds

Question:
What is the ruling on enjoying the sounds of birds?
Answer:
If the sound of a bird pleases the heart, then listening to it and enjoying it is permissible. There is consensus (ijmāʿ) on this matter.
❀ ʿAllāmah Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله, d. 751 AH) said:
إن الإجماع منعقد على إباحة أصوات الطيور المطربة الشجية
“There is unanimous agreement that listening to the pleasant and melodious sounds of birds is permissible.”
