Partnership Between a Muslim and a Non-Muslim

Partnership Between a Muslim and a Non-Muslim

It is not advisable to make a non-Muslim a partner in business, as they cannot be fully trusted. Although their honesty may be reliable, their actions cannot always be trusted because they may, intentionally or unintentionally, engage in transactions that are prohibited in Islam. They might also claim that they are not bound by Islamic rulings. Moreover, having a non-Muslim as a partner can lead to social dynamics that encourage leaning toward them, fostering affection and love for them, which may affect one’s religious commitment.

This is a matter that can harm one’s faith. Therefore, it is recommended that a Muslim should not include a non-Muslim in their business partnership. As for the issue of whether it is haram, it is not strictly forbidden, as it does not directly relate to religious matters.
