Until a person reaches the age of legal responsibility (سنّ تکلیف), his disposal of wealth is not valid, as Allah ﷻ says:
فَإِنْ آنَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ
"If you perceive in them sound judgment, then deliver to them their wealth."
[An-Nisa: 6]
Independence is also essential because valid trade requires consent and heartfelt willingness, as has been established by the evidences mentioned earlier.
1. Requirement of Reaching the Age of Responsibility
